Australian Grass Tree

Australian Grass Tree - I need something else in there to provide context, how big is this thing? Soo cool is that a real palm tree?

Xanthorrhoea minor. It is an Australian native grass-like plant that does not develop an above ground trunk. The flowers contain considerable nectar which was used by aborigines to produce a sweet drink by soaking the flowers in water. The nectar also attracts honey eating birds. Flowering occurs in spring but it may not occur annually. It's an excellent garden plant that requires well drained soils in sun or dappled shade. The plant also makes an excellent container specimen.

Love the plant atop the steel pipe! I have a large fern atop one to mimic a palm, since they don't grow well in my garden.

Dasylirion longissimum (Mexican grass tree) in a steel pipe. I'm sure an Australian grass could do just as well!
