Every day each of us are held back by our excwses, and don't even realise it!  When we begin to think a little laterally & ask ourselves 'How Can I Do this?',  then we can begin to see around our excuses and choose to do something about it. At parkrun on Saturday I ran across this lovely 78yr old lady & was so intrigued I walked with her and chatted.  It's not often you see someone out exercising with a walking frame.  She told me she had a fall resulting in 3 screws in her hip and a smashed shoulder & without a walking frame she would not be able to walk the 2.5kms she does every day!   Next time rather than thinking 'I can't, try asking yourself 'HOW CAN I?' #whatsyourexcuse #noexcuse #fitnessmotivation

As we head into the weekend take a moment to reflect on your goals & what they mean to you.  All too often the weekend means we take a break from many of the things we work towards all week...we forget how badly we to feel confident in swimwear at the beach, or how snug our jeans are fitting & instead eat & drink more than we need & don't exercise. It may be Saturday morning and the school holidays, however that's no excuse to NOT exercise or make healthier food choices.   What if you returned home from a holiday fitter and leaner than when you left? This weekend we are at the Gold Coast for a conference, made the effort to get up & headed down to the beach for a 30min workout & look at the morning we were rewarded with!!  #noexcuses #sticktotheplan #trainlikeagirl #fitnessmotivation #morningworkout

In 1989 44% of Australian adults were overweight & this grew to an alarming 63% in 2013.  As a nation we are becoming heavier & unhealthier.  Does this alarm you as well?  When are we going to take responsibility for our own bodies & our health?   We can change these statistics but only if each of us are willing to help ourselves.
