AUSTRALIAN ANTIQUE COLONIAL CEDAR SETTLE. This fine Australian colonial cedar settle with interesting early design often seen on colonial double ended settees, where the bottom rail continues on and up into a tight swan neck design finishing with a turned paterae decoration. This type of design was well used between 1835 to 1845.There is a large knot in the wood to the centre of the back and the whole settle is sitting on turned legs. circa 1840.
