This duos work structure me as useful to look at for the fruit exercises from class. They create interior landscape represention said by fusing Frits and metals together. When I look at there work it feels almost achievable for someone like myself with a bit more understanding of how the grit will shrink down.

This is fused and slumped glass tubes. While I know it is a vessel in a more basic shape, I am mesmerized by the patience and and technique required to control each and all tubes.

This is by the artist Anne-Lils Leht. I stumbled across her while looking for slumped work by fellow Estonian Kalli Sein. I am attracted to the the objectivity of this piece and the fact that it looks as though it folds over on itself. it has more movement then a basic bowl or dish form.

I found the duo of Britta Madsen and Soren Gottrup in a Nordic Glass book. This is according to the book fused and slumped. My first thought was that the images wood have been printed onto the surface. They run classes in Denmark so I suppose that is a way to find out.

This work is by Dutch stained glass artist Johan Thorn Prikker. It is titled Orange, 1931. This piece instantly reminded me of a Rothko painting (one of my favorites). In fact you can purchase it as a painting reproduction. It is funny however, that it precedes Rothko. Maybe inspiration.

A lovely painting of what light looks like through a diamond, which is effectively the same as a colored glass prism.....maybe

I saw these and of course thought of the trees from Stokkeaustad. These are to be little bonsai trees. They reinforce my own narrative of being a woodworker interested in the glass workshop.

I find these figurines simple and cute. The tell my narrative as a woodworker interested in exploring the possibilities glass has to offer.
