I like this idea for a bed, but I like it even more for pantry storage. I could built this elevated floor with a drawer in my basement for storing the canning jars or even separate bins for onions, potatoes, etc. They would stay nice and cool because they would be against the concrete basement floor. I could build a kitchen booth on top for dining or crafts.
