Western Verandah, Government House, Darwin in 1938 - The Administrator, Mrs Abbott, and their daughter Dorothy - In 1937, a cyclone swept through Darwin, wrecking part of the Government House and  garden. The Administrator’s wife, Mrs Hilda Abbott, took on the task of refurbishing both Government House and the gardens.
