Eliminating the Impossible: Sherlock Holmes

Peter Cushing was the ultimate Sherlock Holmes. Hammer's 1959 film "The Hound of the Baskervilles" is one of my favourite movies. Jeremy Brett in the 80s was the most charming of all the Holmes. But Benedict Cumberbatch as the newest incarnation of Sherlock is a force to be reckoned with. Harsher, more clever, and a little bit dangerous, BBC's "Sherlock" is one of the most well written shows ever. "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
