Found on fb: Simply cut some cardboard (or wood, if you want it to last longer), use an airbrush or the 'dry brush' technique to achieve the aged wood look and then paint on theme fitting place names. (Also works for geek stuff, like Skyrim, Harry Potter or Middle Earth.)
