Mycelium building materials are actually grown! We use a mushroom called Reishi, pack them in molds, and grow them in a humid, damp environment. These mycelium bricks were grown specifically in Moss Landing, California.

Designed by New York company Ecovative, Mushroom® Packaging is made using mycelium, which functions similar to the roots of a plant. Mycelium fastens the fungus to the ground and absorbs nutrients.
