Exciting new social media campaign for Port Lincoln will launch on Friday 9th October 2015 at the Port Lincoln Visitor Information Centre. This is a joint initiative between The Port Lincoln Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, the City of Port Lincoln and Woof Media with the support of our very own local photographer, Robert Lang. Our goal is to get extra exposure for Port Lincoln as a desirable and exciting tourism destination by using social media; specifically Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
While you were all enjoying the Christmas/New Year break I was busy trying to keep up with the dynamic world of social media by reading countless blogs and listening to podcasts by the ‘experts’ predicting what is ahead in 2016.
I went to America earlier this year. I waited until the dollar was around 76 cents and I felt the pain of that crappy exchange rate for three weeks! During our time in America we spent our hard earned cash in restaurants, cafés, hotels, hire cars, planes, trains, taxis, grocery stores, chemists, department stores, and tour companies. I’m guessing it cost around $20k for the three of us for three weeks. Ouch. (I’m too scared to add it all up exactly.) Why am I telling you this?
