Canvas is a beautiful visual representation of learning. Sometimes, though, it can be hard to fit a lot of text in without cluttering your work. Instead, you could create a separate document with all the text you need, give it a nice picture as a header, then drag the document in to a shape in Canvas. You can then direct your families to click on the shape to view the document!
We used tables to create a space for your children to track what they are growing in your service's garden and discuss changes and observations they make over time with an early introduction to the scientific method. This can be used as part of larger inquiry or sustainability based projects at your service.
We used Canvas to create a portfolio design where images, work samples and documentation can be stored for one child or a group of children. This can be designed in conjunction with the child, with their input of colours and images, and then populated by the educator or child to share home with families.

We used Canvas to create a space where children can come together and use Playground and share their work with their families. Whether this experience in done directly on the device in Playground or work samples are attached as photos for each child or the whole group, both can be onwardly shared with families when the children are happy to do so!
We used Canvas to create a space for OSHC children to share more about their pets, using Pokemon cards. Depending on the age of the children, this could be completed independently by them on the device or can be done in conjunction with an educator to capture children's voice. For children who don't have pets, they can choose another animal, real or otherwise, or perhaps a pet they would like to have in the future!
