two children playing in the sand with text describing how to use it for an activity
Canvas is a beautiful visual representation of learning. Sometimes, though, it can be hard to fit a lot of text in without cluttering your work. Instead, you could create a separate document with all the text you need, give it a nice picture as a header, then drag the document in to a shape in Canvas. You can then direct your families to click on the shape to view the document!

two cards with pictures of cats on them and the words pet power written in black
We used Canvas to create a space for OSHC children to share more about their pets, using Pokemon cards. Depending on the age of the children, this could be completed independently by them on the device or can be done in conjunction with an educator to capture children's voice. For children who don't have pets, they can choose another animal, real or otherwise, or perhaps a pet they would like to have in the future!
